July 15 Cooking Class with Chef Beto
Join Chef Beto for a fun and hands-on master class at 6 PM on July 15 where you’ll learn how to make fresh pasta completely from scratch—no additives, just simple, wholesome ingredients and authentic Italian flavor.
In this class, you’ll explore three classic pasta styles and the sauces that bring them to life:
· Fettuccine: A thick ribbon (eggless) pasta from Rome and Tuscany, served with a traditional Carbonara made the right way—creamy from eggs and cheese, not cream.
· Tagliatelle: Rich egg noodles from northern Italy, paired with a slow-cooked beef and sausage Ragù.
· Gnocchi: Light, fluffy potato dumplings tossed in brown butter with crispy sage.
Chef Beto will guide you step-by-step through making dough, shaping each pasta by hand, and creating sauces that are simple, delicious, and full of character. You’ll gain new skills, confidence in the kitchen, and a taste of real Italian cooking.
Whether you’re a curious beginner or a confident home cook, this class is a great way to sharpen your skills and enjoy a night of good food and learning.
We're excited to have Healthy Harvest of North Iowa in attendance to teach us about ways we can find ingredients locally!
Attendees will receive the recipe and a meal of their own to enjoy during the event (BYO drink -- wine is fine!)
Spaces are limited—sign up early to save your spot!
